My rain fly failed at 2 AM near Glacier, duct tape saved the trip

The seam tape on my tent peeled off during a downpour and water started dripping on my sleeping bag. I used gorilla tape to patch the seam from inside and hung a trash bag over that corner for the night. Has anyone found a seam sealer that actually lasts more than a couple seasons?
