My new tent's rainfly failed in a light Oregon drizzle

I was camping near Bend last month, and a forecasted 'light mist' turned into a steady rain overnight. About 2 hours in, I felt a cold drip on my face. The seam sealing on the brand-new 'Trailblazer 2P' tent's rainfly was leaking right along the main ridge. I had to spend the rest of the night with a cooking pot on my sleeping bag to catch the drips. Has anyone else had a tent fail on its first real test like this?

Honestly I used to be one of those people who thought tent brands didn't matter much and cheap gear was fine. But after my own Trailblazer 2P turned into a freaking colander on a basic wet night, yeah that totally changed my mind. Some things you just gotta spend real money on.

My new tent leaked right out of the box too, total waste of money.

Did you try contacting the company for a refund or a replacement?
