My Jetboil stove died on day 2 of a trip in Yosemite

The igniter stopped sparking, maybe got wet. I had to use a cheap Bic lighter for 4 days straight. Anyone else have a stove that crapped out at the worst time?

Classic Jetboil move. Brags about being ultralight and efficient until a splash of condensation turns it into a paperweight with a fancy cup. Bet that Bic lighter felt like the most valuable piece of gear in your pack by day 3. Nothing like paying $100 for a stove just to carry a backup lighter that does the same job.

@amy_murphy15 must've had the same experience I did where the igniter died on day two and suddenly that Jetboil was just an expensive mug. The Bic lighter saved my trip too, but I still had to hold it at the exact right angle to get the stupid thing to light again. Brilliant design, really, paying $100 for a stove that needs a $1 lighter as a backup.
