I finally figured out why my sleeping pad kept going flat

For two years, I kept waking up on the ground at Joshua Tree, blaming a slow leak I could never find. The issue was my dog's claws making tiny punctures every time she circled before lying down, something I only noticed when I set up the pad inside my tent last weekend. Has anyone found a truly dog-proof pad, or is a separate blanket for them the only real fix?

Oh man, that's a classic dog owner problem! Honestly, I've given up on finding a pad my dog can't wreck. I just use a thick moving blanket from the hardware store for her to sleep on top of. It folds up small and protects my gear way better than anything fancy I've tried.

What about a cheap yoga mat? They're tough, easy to clean, and my dog hasn't chewed through one yet. It's a solid backup plan.
