Had a Coleman stove flare up on me at a site near Bend, Oregon, and it completely changed how I pack my repair kit.

Honestly, that's a flare-up, not a failure. Those old Coleman stoves are basically bombs if you don't light them right (too much fuel in the cup). The real fix is in knowing the steps, not just having extra parts.

Call them bombs but I've lit plenty wrong and still have my eyebrows.
