An $85 chair folding on night one does suck, but is it really a crisis? You were in Big Bend, sleeping on the ground either way. Worst case you sit on a rock or your bear can like the rest of us did for decades. People hike the whole AT with a foam pad and zero chair and somehow survive. Sounds more like a bad product than a broken trip. Did the return policy at least work out for you?
