Dropped $180 on a "4 season" tent from a big box store and it leaked on the SECOND night in Ouachita
I'm still mad about this one. Back in March I grabbed a tent that said 4 season right on the box, paid $180 at the store in Fort Smith because I had a trip to the Ouachita Mountains planned for the next weekend. First night was fine, no rain. Second night it poured for about 4 hours and I woke up at 2am with water running down the inside of the fly and pooling right where my sleeping pad met the floor. The seams weren't even taped, just some thin coating that peeled off with my thumbnail. I checked the reviews after the fact and half of them said the same thing, but I only read the star rating before I bought it like an idiot. So I'm out $180 plus a soaked bag and a miserable drive home. Now I want to know, does anyone have a budget 3 season tent under $200 that actually holds up in real rain, or am I dreaming?
