Borrowed my brother's old coleman stove from 2007 last weekend
I pulled out his old green Coleman two burner from the garage, the one with the peeling decal and rust around the valve. It fired right up after I cleaned the jets with a paperclip, same as it did when we took it to Yosemite like fifteen years ago. Has anyone else noticed that the newer stoves don't seem to hold up as long as these old tanks?

Man those old coleman stoves are built like tanks! I still have my dad's from the late 90s with the brown and cream color scheme, thing has been dropped off tailgates, left out in the rain more than once, and it just keeps chugging along. The new ones my friends bought feel flimsy and the plastic knobs crack after a season, not to mention the burners don't spread heat as even. My dad's old stove will probably outlast me and my next two stoves combined. Nothing beats taking a paperclip to those jets and hearing that steady blue flame pop back to life.
