Went to a camera swap meet in Portland last weekend and saw someone trying to sell a moldy lens for $200
I get it, it's a vintage lens but the fungus was so bad you could see it from across the table. The buyer was like 'but it's a great price' and I just walked away. Has anyone else seen people overcharging for junk gear at these events?

$200 for a lens with visible fungus is actually a steal if it's a rare mount or serial number. Some collectors pay premium for beat-up glass just to harvest the barrel or the optics for custom projects. Could easily flip the housing alone for twice that.
