The day I stopped using canned air and started using a bulb blower

About two years ago I was cleaning a Pentax K1000 and the canned air left a thin residue on the mirror that took forever to wipe off. I switched to a rubber bulb blower with a soft tip for all sensor and mirror work, and it's been smoother ever since. Has anyone else had trouble with canned air leaving marks on older gear, or do you stick with it for stubborn dust?
