That old Rolleiflex I thought was junk turned out to be worth saving
Picked up a beat up 2.8F at an estate sale for $40 five years ago, figured I'd strip it for parts. Ended up spending 6 hours cleaning the shutter blades and it fired perfectly after, now I use it as my daily shooter. Anybody else had a camera surprise you like that?

Forty bucks for a 2.8F? That's ABSOLUTELY INSANE, I can't believe they didn't know what they had.

Grabbed a beat up Pentax 6x7 once for like 50 bucks because the mirror was stuck, turns out a q-tip and some lighter fluid fixed it right up. Ran three rolls through it that same day.
