PSA: A client's comment about my lens cleaning made me switch tools

A regular brought in a Leica M6 with haze, and after I cleaned it with my usual microfiber, they said the front element still looked 'streaky under a certain light'. I swapped to a fresh Pec-Pad with a drop of Eclipse fluid for the final pass, and the difference was clear. What's your go-to method for a streak-free finish on coated glass?

Why are we overcomplicating this so much? A clean, dry microfiber cloth has always worked perfectly fine for me on every lens I've handled. Adding fluids and special pads just introduces more chemicals and steps where something else can go wrong. That streaky look your client saw was probably just the angle of the light, not your cleaning method. I've never had a single complaint using my simple system.

Look, @kelly_hart28 has a point about keeping it simple. Most of the time a dry cloth is totally fine and we're just making up problems. The only time I bother with solution is for actual grease or sticky stuff.
