Hit 1000 shutter repairs on vintage SLRs yesterday

I kept a log since 2019 and when I added up my repair tally last night it came to exactly 1000 mechanical shutter fixes on film SLRs. Mostly Pentax Spotmatics and Nikon Fs but some Minoltas too. Never thought I would get that deep into the same type of repair over and over. Any other repairers keep track of specific jobs by the numbers?

@lee.casey's buddy is smart keeping those serial numbers. I wish I started that way. Just got a notebook with tallies and rough dates. Now I kick myself when I can't remember if a specific Pentax model had the chronic return spring issue or if it was the other one. Hitting that thousand mark feels wild. Makes you realize how many times you've fixed the same damn problem on different cameras. Gotta respect the commitment though.

Got a buddy who does lens repairs and he hit his 500th CLA on Canon FD glass last month. He keeps a spreadsheet with serial numbers and notes on each job, mostly for warranty tracking. Says it helps him spot common failure points across different production years.
