Guy at the parts counter said my flexi-clamps were ruining bellows faster than drying

I been using those cheap blue flexi-clamps to hold bellows open for years. He showed me how they pinch the same spot every time and leave permanent creases. Has anyone else switched to something softer and seen less damage?

Yeah, swap to felt-lined clamps, they won't leave those pinch marks.

Oh wait, felt lined clamps can actually trap moisture against the wood if you're working with unfinished pieces. I'd go with rubber padded ones instead, they grip well without leaving marks and let things breathe a bit more.
