Guy at the parts counter in Reno told me 'film cameras are dead' while holding my broken FM2
I brought my Nikon FM2 in last Tuesday because the advance lever was grinding, and the kid behind the counter laughed and said nobody fixes those anymore, he could give me $20 for parts. I took it to a retired guy named Walt three blocks over who charged me $45 and said the kid probably never felt a smooth wind stroke in his life. Got it back in two days and it feels better than new. Wondering if anyone else has a local shop where the old timers still beat the chain stores on actual repair work?
