Cleaned my 100th vintage lens today and found something wild inside a 1972 Nikkor

Found a tiny rolled up piece of paper in a 1950s lens once... like a note from the assembly line. It's wild what gets sealed away.

That 1972 Nikkor probably had a dried up grease blob or a metal shaving from the factory. Old lenses are like little time capsules of the manufacturing process. You never know what got sealed in there fifty years ago.
