Why does nobody talk about grounding blocks rusting out on cable drops?

I replaced 12 of them last week on one apartment complex in Nashville, and every single one had green crud inside the port from sitting in the weather for 3 years has anyone else run into this on newer buildings?

Used to think those cheap weather seals were fine, but after seeing the same green mess on a few of those newish apartment drops, I'm totally with you now. Those things don't last a season.
