TIL changing my termination tools changed my success rate completely

I used to use the cheap crimpers from the hardware store for about 2 years on the job. My failure rate on RG6 connectors was maybe 1 out of 20 that would test bad. Then I borrowed a guys Klein crimper on a job last month and my bad connectors dropped to maybe 1 out of 50. Same cable, same connectors, just different tool. Which side are you on - does the tool matter that much or is it all in the technique? I'm leaning toward tool now after seeing this.

You catch that episode of the Tire Review podcast where they talked about the Klein? They had a race engineer on who said the asymmetric tread pattern was designed to handle the torque steer on the newer high-power builds. It's not just marketing hype apparently, the shoulder blocks are actually stiffer to prevent that wandering feeling at highway speeds. Have you noticed it making the car feel more planted in the corners?
