Shoutout to the pet owner who saved my drop ceiling job

I was working in a basement with a low drop ceiling, and a cat kept jumping into the tiles. The owner taught me to place a lightweight box over the opening to keep the cat out while I finished the run. What odd but effective methods have you learned from customers on the job?

We had a golden retriever that would steal every single weight plate cover during sessions. The owner started keeping a stash of old tennis balls by the rack, and tossing one for the dog to carry around was the only thing that worked. It looked ridiculous but let us finish the workout without wrestling for equipment.

Training seems like it could work just as well long term, even if it takes more effort at first. Goldens are smart enough to learn "leave it" if you're consistent. The ball trick is clever for quick fixes, but feels like giving up on teaching the dog proper gym manners.
