Rant: That $30 fish tape from Home Depot snapped on my third pull
I bought this cheap Klein fish tape thinking it would save me a few bucks. It broke halfway through a 50 foot conduit run in a commercial building in Phoenix. Now I'm out the money AND had to spend an extra hour fishing out the broken pieces from the pipe. Anyone else had bad luck with the budget fiberglass tapes?

Ngl, maybe dry Arizona air makes that fiberglass brittle faster than usual.

Oh man, you might be onto something there. I've noticed that stuff just seems to wear out faster in extreme environments, like how my car's dashboard got all cracked after a couple years in the desert sun. It makes me wonder if we're all just seeing the same pattern play out in different ways.
