Yeah, "untangling a rodent home" sounds like a nightmare. I'm suddenly very pro velcro strips for everything outside now.

Velcro strips save so much hassle outside. I use them to secure my garden netting and bundle up cables, nothing for critters to tangle with. They withstand rain and sun without degrading. Really, once you start using them, you'll find a dozen more places to put them.
