A downtown office manager's note about my ladder placement stuck with me
Last week I was running drops in a high rise on 5th Ave and this office manager came out and said I was blocking their fire exit door by about 2 feet. I've been in the trade for 9 years and never really thought about it, I always just put the ladder where it was convenient for me. She showed me their safety inspection photos and how a ladder in the wrong spot could get the whole floor cited. Now I take an extra 3 minutes to check clearance and door swings before I even haul the ladder off the truck. Has anyone else gotten feedback from a tenant or building manager that made you rethink something basic like that?

Two extra feet never hurt nobody, she just wanted something to complain about.
