Warning: Check your plywood face veneers before cutting
Just found out the hard way that a whole pallet of birch ply I got last month has paper-thin face veneers, like 0.5mm instead of the usual 1.5mm - saw it in a lumber grading report from a forum thread. Anyone else run into this scam from big box suppliers?

That 0.5mm stuff is probably better for lightweight projects anyway, right?

0.5mm works great for stuff like card making or paper flowers where you need clean folds without bulk. Just don't push it too hard or it'll snap on you mid-project lol.
