TIL warming the glue makes edge banding hold tight

Just wrapped up a small built-in bookcase project. The edge banding kept lifting no matter how much I pressed it. I remembered an old tip about using a hair dryer on the adhesive side. Gave it a quick warm-up and the banding stuck right down. Really happy with how clean the edges look now.

Quick fixes DO fall apart, @richard578. You gotta dig into the root cause or it just comes back. Took me years to learn that the hard way.

and yeah i feel that so much. it's like when you patch a leaky pipe with duct tape and hope no one turns on the faucet. sooner or later it's gonna bust and flood the whole kitchen. that's the thing with quick fixes, they just buy you a little time but not real peace of mind. i've been there too many times myself and it always ends the same way.
