the $40 clamp set I ignored for two years actually works great

I bought a cheap parallel clamp set from a flea market in Columbus back in 2022, figured they'd twist or slip on the first glue up. Left them in the van behind a crate of hinges until last week when I ran out of my good clamps on a big cabinet door glue up. Grabbed those ugly orange ones out of desperation, and they held perfectly square with no flex at all. Anyone else had a bargain tool that surprised them after sitting around for ages?
