Spent 4 hours on a scribe fit that shouldve taken 45 minutes

Was installing a custom base cabinet against a wall that looked straight but had a 3/8 inch bow in the middle. Kept thinking I could trace it quick with my compass but every time I cut, the gap looked worse. Ended up going back to the shop to make a cardboard template and fine tune it with my block plane. By the time I got it perfect, I lost most of my afternoon. Anyone else run into a wall that fights back harder than it should?

Cardboard template trick saved me on a bowed wall just like that.

Cardboard template trick is a lifesaver. Used it last month on a crooked wall in my laundry room and it fit perfect the first time.
