Rant: This new obsession with waterfall edges is slowing down my projects

I just finished a kitchen where the client insisted on a continuous grain wrap for the countertop edges. It took me twice as long to match the wood and avoid seams. Now I have two more jobs asking for the same thing, and it's eating into my schedule. I'm starting to think it's more for looks than practical use.
