Rant: got a quote for 42 cabinet doors and nearly choked on my coffee

Went to a local supplier in Phoenix yesterday for a standard shaker set, 42 doors with soft close hinges, and the number they threw at me was $3,800. I know wood prices are up, but that's almost double what I paid for the same setup back in 2021. Has anyone else seen quotes jump this fast, or am I just getting gouged because I'm not a big production shop?

Check local lumber yards for cut lists, that quote screams retail markup.
