My uncle told me to always use a 1/4 inch roundover on oak edges.

He said it would look more 'finished' than a sharp edge. Did a whole kitchen in Springfield with that advice. The client called it 'cheap looking' and made me redo every single door. Anyone got a better rule for oak? I'm stuck.

Cheap looking" reminds me of my buddy's whole maple desk fiasco.

It's wild how often that happens. You see it with cars, clothes, all sorts of stuff where the "nice" version ends up looking kinda tacky. Makes you wonder who decides what looks expensive anyway.
