My shop just hit 1,000 linear feet of custom trim cut in a month

That's more than three football fields of poplar and maple, all for a single big remodel job. I never thought my little two-man operation could handle that volume without a major mistake. Has anyone else had a project that just blew past your usual scale?

A buddy of mine had to mill and install all the flooring for a new community center. His usual crew of three suddenly became a crew of ten for six weeks straight. He said the hardest part was keeping track of all the material deliveries, not the actual install.

Seriously? How hard is it to check a delivery slip? Sounds like an excuse for bad planning.
