Found my old dado stack after 4 years in a rental, total night and day

Used a cheap wobble blade the whole time because I lost my Freud set in a move, and the cuts were always fuzzy and fighting me. Dug it out of my dad's garage last Saturday, ran a test on some red oak, and the difference in tear-out was so obvious my helper asked what I'd done to the saw. Anyone else hang onto old tools just because you know the new stuff won't match?
