Finished my first full kitchen with inset doors and it actually worked

After three weeks of fitting and adjusting, I got the last Blum hinge dialed in today. The reveal on the upper cabinets is a solid 2mm all the way across, which I was sure I'd mess up. Anyone have a good trick for keeping that gap even when you're working alone in a hot shop?

Wait, you did inset doors ALONE? That's honestly the most impressive part to me. (I always need a second set of hands just to keep things from shifting.)

Actually, I find working alone gives me more control. I use a simple jig made from scrap wood to hold the door in place while I fit the hinges. It keeps everything steady without any extra hands. For me, having another person can sometimes introduce more wobble than it prevents. The trick is just in the setup before you even pick up the screwdriver. Once that's right, the rest is a quiet, one-person job.
