Figured out the soft-close drawer issue I kept seeing

Kept noticing drawers on new builds bouncing open after a quick close. Turns out people are overtightening the undermount slides by a half turn. Loosened them up on three kitchens last month and every drawer slid smooth.

Had a buddy who redid his whole kitchen last summer and was pulling his hair out over the drawers. They'd slide fine empty but as soon as he put any plates in they'd stick like crazy. He was about to return all the slides until his contractor neighbor swung by with a screwdriver. Loosened every mounting screw by maybe half a turn like you're saying and suddenly everything worked perfect. Did you notice that issue mostly on the heavier drawers or was it across the board for you?
