Built drawers for 7 years before realizing my dovetail jig was set up backwards the whole time

Was watching a random YouTube video last week and the guy flipped his board the opposite way from what I do and suddenly the fit was perfect, has anyone else had that moment where you walk over to your own jig and just stare at it for five minutes?

Stood in my shop for a solid 10 minutes just holding the jig in my hands. Felt like a total idiot when I realized my tails were consistently 1/32 off because of it. Threw away a whole pile of practice scraps before I figured it out. Still don't know if the manual was wrong or if I just read it backwards.
