A painter told me my glue lines were 'screaming' and now I can't unsee it

Had a conversation with this older painter on site in Portland last Thursday. He pointed at a cabinet I'd just assembled and said the glue lines were screaming for attention, which I thought was dramatic until I walked up close. Now I'm wiping every single joint before clamping, has anyone else had their eyes opened by another trade's critique?
