The $40 bone saw from a flea market in Reno fixed my wrist pain

I've been breaking down briskets with the same heavy cleaver for 8 years. Last month I grabbed a little hand bone saw at a flea market in Reno for 40 bucks just to try it. Now I use it for all the rib and brisket cuts and my wrist doesn't ache by noon. Has anyone else switched to a saw for certain cuts and noticed a big difference in fatigue?

Whoa, forty bucks? That is wild. I always thought those little hand saws were for like, deer and stuff, not brisket. But if it keeps your wrist from aching by noon after 8 years of cleaver work, that says a lot.

Isn't it funny how we get stuck using a tool one way just because that's what we saw growing up? @terryrobinson you're right that it says a lot, and it makes me wonder how many other things around the kitchen I'm doing the hard way out of habit. Seems like half of getting older is just admitting the old way wasn't always the best way.
