Spent 3 months tweaking our shipping process and it paid off fast

I run a small parts warehouse in Phoenix. Last April we were losing about 15 orders a week to wrong addresses or damaged boxes. I sat down with our two shipping guys and we mapped out every step from picking to loading. Took us a full weekend just to spot the bottlenecks. We added a double check station with a simple checklist and switched to those inflatable air pillows instead of paper. Three months later our error rate dropped to under 1 percent. Anyone else find fixing the little steps makes the biggest difference?

Buddy of mine did something similar for his import business. He had diagrams all over his garage wall like a detective.
