Spent $200 on a cheap inventory scanner, regretted it in 2 weeks

I bought a no-name barcode scanner off Amazon to speed up stock counts and it started misreading labels after day three. Had to manually recheck 500 items this weekend. Anyone else found a decent scanner under $300 that actually works?

@tessa_rivera yeah that's the kind of thing that makes you want to throw the scanner through a wall.

HOLD UP, you actually had to recheck 500 items by hand? That's a nightmare, I'd be livid.
