Serious question... why do vendors always schedule demos during peak hours?

I had a vendor rep call me last Wednesday at 2 PM right in the middle of our monthly inventory crunch. I told her I was busy but she insisted it would only take 10 minutes. Then she spent 45 minutes walking me through their new software while I had three orders sitting on my desk. By the time she was done I had to stay late to catch up on ship dates. This keeps happening at least once a week and I'm about ready to block unknown numbers during business hours. Has anyone else dealt with sales people who just don't respect your time?

Block the number. Problem solved.

Yeah blocking works great. Unless you're like me and accidentally unblock them three days later because you're trying to block someone else. Then you get a nice surprise text from someone you forgot existed. It's like a zombie apocalypse on your phone. My contact list is basically a graveyard of people I've blocked and unblocked by accident.
