Overheard my warehouse lead say something about inventory that clicked for me
Tbh he said 'we don't have a stock problem we have a labeling problem' and it hit me hard. Been running a small parts operation for 3 years and never thought of it that way. Anyone else had a simple quote change how you look at your whole workflow?

Wait your warehouse lead just dropped that on you out of nowhere? Like he just casually said it walking by or during a meeting?

He dropped it mid stride while walking past my desk, like he was telling me the coffee was ready. Said the inventory variance was my problem now because I "knew the system best" and walked off before I could even respond. I've learned the hard way you ALWAYS follow up something like that with an email documenting the conversation, cc your supervisor if you have one. If he didn't put it in writing, it never happened basically. Get that paper trail going immediately so you're not left holding the bag when things go wrong.
