My inventory spreadsheet had a hidden formula error for 8 months

I was wondering why my stock counts never matched the system even after I triple checked everything physically. Finally found a cell reference that pointed to the wrong column in my reorder calculations. Has anyone else had a spreadsheet glitch cost them real time or money?
