Had to choose between hiring a full-time ops manager or using a consultant for our inventory mess.
Our warehouse in Austin was losing about $15,000 a month from bad stock counts and shipping errors. I went with the consultant for a six-month project to rebuild our processes from scratch. For those who've done this, how did you handle the handoff to your team after the consultant left?

Wait you were losing 15k a month? That's a crazy number to just live with. Good call getting a consultant in there fast. The handoff is the hardest part because your team has to own the new system.

Oh man, that's the worst part... We actually had the consultant train a lead from our team as their main job for the last month. Made it our system, not theirs.
