Found out our warehouse is losing $2,400 a month just on broken pallets

I was going through the inventory waste reports last week and added up all the damaged pallets from the past quarter, turns out busted wood is costing us almost thirty grand a year - has anyone else dug into their supply chain waste and found a hidden money pit like that?

And that tape thing is real. I've seen distribution centers bleed cash on the dumbest stuff. Packing tape, labels, bubble wrap - it all adds up fast when you're not watching. My buddy caught his team using three wraps of tape on every box when one would do. That's like throwing money away daily. Broken pallets though are a classic hidden leak. People just toss them and don't think about it. But thirty grand a year on busted wood is wild. That's a whole salary right there.
