The minimalist setup person told me to ditch washi tape collections...
My friend who runs a minimalist bujo account said I should only keep 3 rolls of washi tape max. I tried it for a month and my spreads looked so boring I stopped journaling for 2 weeks. Has anyone else found that too much restriction kills their creativity?

I keep about 8 rolls in a small tin and just rotate them out seasonally. That way I have variety without it taking over my desk.

That tin rotation thing you mentioned reminds me of how my mom used to keep her lipsticks in a little tray by the door, swapping them out with the seasons too. It's funny when you think about it, but so many of us do this with all kinds of stuff without even realizing it. I've got a drawer for my everyday go-tos, a shelf for my fancy special occasion stuff, and then this little basket I rotate every few months depending on what I'm into at the moment. It keeps things fresh, you know, without letting the hobby turn into a hoarding situation.
