Spotted a trend at the coffee shop downtown that changed my weekly spread
I was sitting at Brew & Bloom last Saturday and saw three different people using just a single highlighter and a black pen in their journals. No stickers, no washi tape, nothing extra. It made me realize I've been overcomplicating my habit tracker with like 4 colors and a whole key system. Has anyone else simplified and found it works better?

Hold up... you saw three people doing something simple and now the whole habit tracker needs a redesign? I dunno man, one Saturday at a coffee shop is a pretty thin sample size to base your whole system on. Like, maybe those people just forgot their other pens that day. I've tried the minimalist thing before and ended up not being able to tell if I actually did my run or just highlighted "exercise" by accident because everything looked the same.

Yo, right?! I did the exact same thing. I had a whole color coded system for my habit tracker, like blue for gym, green for reading, red for work tasks, everything had its own damn highlighter. Got sick of carrying a pouch full of them everywhere, so I switched to one grey mildliner and a fine liner black pen. Honestly? I can scan my week in two seconds now instead of decoding my own rainbow mess. I still mess up sometimes and highlight the wrong square, but it's way less stress than running that whole production.
