Rant: My whole weekly spread got wrecked by one coffee spill

I was at my kitchen table Tuesday morning, trying to plan out my week, and my elbow knocked over a full mug of black coffee right onto the open page. Had to rip out the whole spread and redraw it on a fresh two-page layout in 15 minutes before work, now I'm thinking about switching to a waterproof pen or a plastic cover, anyone else deal with a total page disaster like that?

Honestly waterproof pens are a game changer, just test them first on your paper.
