My week fell apart on Tuesday when I stopped doing my daily log, curious how others bounce back
So I've been bullet journaling pretty steady since January, usually a 10 minute morning setup with my daily log and a quick review at night. This past Tuesday I skipped it because I had an early dentist appointment and figured I'd catch up that evening, which obviously did not happen. By Thursday I had missed two client calls, forgot a supplier quote I needed, and my whole week felt like I was chasing my own tail. I finally sat down Friday night and filled in four blank days at once and it took almost an hour, which is way longer than doing it daily would have taken. I'm wondering if I should just leave blank pages and move on instead of trying to backfill everything like that. What do you all do when you fall off for a few days, do you backfill or just skip ahead and start fresh?
A friend of mine went through the same thing last fall, skipped her log for like three days when her kid got sick, then tried to catch up all at once and ended up just staring at blank pages feeling worse. What she does now is draw a line under the missed days, write "off track" in one sentence, and start clean the next morning. She says the blank pages used to bug her but now they just show her where life happened. Filling in four days after the fact is basically writing fiction anyway, you forget half of it by then. Maybe leave the gap, jot one note about why, and just pick back up where you are.
