My pen leaked and ruined a whole month of my bullet journal

I was setting up my April spreads last night, and my favorite black fineliner just gave out. It leaked a huge blob of ink right on the middle of my monthly log. This happened right after I finished drawing the calendar grid, so all that work was gone. I tried to blot it with a paper towel, but it just smeared and made the page look worse. I had to carefully cut that page out of my Leuchtturm notebook with a craft knife, which felt awful. Now I have a weird gap in my book, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Has anyone else had a pen disaster like this, and what did you do to save the journal?

Cutting a page out of a Leuchtturm is a CRIME, that paper is too nice to wreck. You could try gluing in a fresh page from a spare notebook. This kind of pen betrayal is why I switched to ballpoints for layouts.

My friend's pen leaked on page 47.
