My friend's perfect bullet journal made me stop trying to copy other people
Honestly, I was at a coffee shop in Chicago about six months ago, and my friend showed me her bullet journal. Tbh, it was amazing, with color coded trackers and these beautiful weekly spreads. For a week I tried to make mine just like it, but I felt stressed every time I opened my book. Ngl, I realized I was spending more time drawing boxes than actually planning my day. I had to ask myself why I was even doing this. Now I just use a simple notebook and a black pen, and I get way more done. Has anyone else felt pressure to make their journal look a certain way and just gone back to basics?

The pretty spreads are half the fun for me, keeps me engaged.

I mean, I get that, but for me the fun part is actually using the system. Idk, maybe it's just me but if I spend two hours on a spread I'm almost scared to write in it and mess it up.
