I tried to bullet journal my garage organization and now I have a drawn out saga about tape measures.
Last weekend, I set up a new bullet journal spread to plan my garage organization. I meant to track tools and storage bins with simple symbols. But I got distracted and started doodling a tiny drama where the hammer was jealous of the screwdriver. I spent hours adding speech bubbles and silly plot twists. My actual organizing got pushed to next month because I was too into the story. The funniest part is, I showed my friend and they asked if it was a new graphic novel. So much for getting things done, but at least my journal looks entertaining now. I guess bullet journaling can lead you down weird paths sometimes.

the_diana is totally onto something here lol. tape measures are literally born for drama because they're always getting tangled up or snapping back at the worst moment. imagine a whole subplot where the tape measure gets bent and can't tell if it's reading 12 inches or 13 anymore the angst writes itself. plus they're always being shoved into dark toolboxes and forgotten about that's a classic lonely character arc waiting to happen. someone should definitely pitch this to a publisher because i would 100% read a graphic novel about a tape measure trying to find its true purpose in a messy garage. the market is totally untapped lmao.
